It’s been awhile.. classes are due to start for me in a little over 3 weeks.. I’m nervous and the costs of books are killing me :/
This year, I’ve only bought half of my books [at amazon] and it’s already a little over the $200 mark… it also looks like the remaining books will be quite pricy too :[
I went to my local borders on Wednesday and while scouring the magazine rack, I eyed a copy of Yen+, a new magazine similar to shonen jump, published by Yen Press.
The first issue contained around 10 different mangas/manwhas 5 Korean titles and 5 Japanese titles which included…
Nabari no Ou, Soul Eater, Higurashi, and Sumomomo! Momomo, just to name a few…
I like the use of color pages and the layout of the magazine and will definitely subscribe, when they have the ordering system up. Seeing as how I enjoyed the first issue and already buy a variety of titles from Yen Press, I think the magazine did great, at least in terms of story selections..
-Weekly Shonen magazine recently debuted a new title called “Zeroin”
From what I can gather from flipping through the first chapter.. the manga is about the main character on the right…being awaken from a frozen sleep… he comes from WWII era Japan and is angry at the current state of Japanese society.. the girl on the left is one of the people who woke him up and I assume a future romantic interest.
